The Wade Fish Jugs have been around for over 150 years. Their iconic shape has made them a staple in UK
homes since the mid 1800’s. The Wade Fish Jugs are all handcrafted from our factory in the Potteries,
Stoke-on-Trent and can be used as a jug, a vase, a decanter or as the perfect gift for any occasion

HOW WE MAKE THE WADE FISH JUG

We use only high quality clay material called English Earthenware to make The Wade Fish Jug, each lovingly hand crafted by our team of experts. Using a traditional “slip casting” method the jugs are formed using a plaster mould and once dried, fired in one of our kilns. Each jug is then hand dipped into a colour glaze before going back into the kiln when it is then packed ready for sale

The Wade Fish Jugs make the famous gurgling noise when liquid is poured from the jug when three-quarters
full. This is a result of an airlock in the fish tail when the bubbles come out

The Wade Fish Jugs are made to order in different sizes and colours to meet everyone’s needs. Whether a medium size jug (0.6L capacity) or a larger jug (1.2L capacity),each size is available on 6 different colours; White, Sage green, French grey, Cobalt blue, Forest green or Teal
